Welcome to Jill & Gypsy's Homepage!
Gypsy and I are a dressage, trail riding, liberty work, and carriage driving team based on our ranch in Del Puerto Canyon, California. We have been together since 2002, when I decided to get back into horses after thirty years out of the saddle. I was delighted to find Gypsy, a beautiful and intelligent nine-year-old green-broke mustang who had been born a wild horse and gathered as a filly by the BLM.
Gypsy is a fine example of the versatility of the American mustang. Over our years together, we've explored activities from trail riding to carriage driving. However, our main focus has been dressage. Gypsy became accomplished at the lower levels of this sport despite being a stocky (and sometimes rather plump) mustang! We schooled and showed to Second Level, winning the United States Dressage Federation All-Breeds Championship for mustangs at both Training (2005) and First Level (2007).
